Help Us Support The Following

The #1 item that Knit and Crochet Tennessee gets requests for is hats.  Hats for warmth, baby hats and chemo hats —  all of these we knit and crochet for our friends in the Middle Tennessee area.

In 2017 we set a goal of 6000 hats to be donated.  We exceeded that goal!

For 2018 our goal is 7500.  FREE patterns and sizing information is available by clicking on the buttons below.

Newborns in Need, Inc. (NIN) is a 501(c) 3 charity organized to help take care of needy babies. NIN volunteers provide care necessities to agencies and hospitals serving premature, ill, or impoverished newborns.

Knit and Crochet Tennessee is helping support the local chapter of Newborns in Need by providing knitted and crocheted blankets, hats and washcloths to be given to the babies born at Nashville General Hospital.

S.A.C.K. (Supporting A Community with Kindness) is a concept, a movement…

Our vision is to inspire groups of volunteers around the country to crochet/knit, collect and donate bar soap to their local food pantries, homeless centers and transitional housing centers.

The soap sacks are made with cotton yarn, which allows them to be used as washcloths as well.

We are here to help where we are needed. We make mats out of plastic bags. We are always looking to expand with our knitters and crocheters. We are also always needing people to help cut bags.

“Knitted knockers” are an alternative for breast cancer survivors who have had mastectomies or lumpectomies with radiation.

Knitters crafting, promoting, and distributing handknit breast prosthetics in the Greater Nashville area of Tennessee.

Our mission is to celebrate the art and beauty of hand knitting and crocheting, building community, generating positive interest in a location, and sharing with others.

Chase the Chill is an annual graffiti/yarn bombing event that distributes handmade scarves in public places so that those in need—regardless of income and without any qualifiers—can help themselves.
