Knitting 101:  Wednesday, May 22, 295:30 – 7 pm

Learn about yarns and needles, how to cast on and cast off and the knit stitch. The second class requires skills from the previous week, so please plan to attend both. All supplies are provided.

  Crochet 102:  Wednesday, June 5, 12  5:45 – 7:15

Learn wrapped stitches:  half double crochet and double crochet as well as working in the round and how to read a pattern.The second class builds on the first class so students need to plan to attend both classes.   Students need to bring worsted weight yarn and a size H hook.

Knitting 102:  Wednesday, June 19, 26  5:30 – 7 pm

Learn the purl stitch, yarn overs, simple increases and decreases and how to read a pattern. The second class builds on the first class so students need to plan to attend both classes. Students need to bring worsted weight yarn and size 8 needles.

Crochet 103: Wednesday, July 3, 17    5:30 – 7 pm

Learn how to crochet in the round, specialty stitches and granny squares. The second class builds on the first class so students need to plan to attend both classes. Students need to bring worsted weight yarn and a size H hook.

Learn specialty stitches, how to work in the round and more!  The second class builds on the first class so students need to plan to attend both classes. Students need to bring worsted weight yarn and size 8 needles.

Knitted Hat:  Tuesday, May 28    1 – 2:30 pm

Knitting in the Round is an alternative to using two straight needles and having to sew a seam, or to using double pointed needles.  Students need to know how to cast on and knit. Supplies needed: 16” circular needle size 13; 16” or 24” circular needle size 13; bulky yarn size 5 or 6.  There will be homework! Details will be sent to students upon signing up.

Simple knitting tips and techniques can be so helpful as you knit. Knowing a few tricks of the trade can turn a so-so knitting project into a fun experience making it easier and quicker. It can even look better too.  Class is for knitters of all levels.

Crochet 101:  Thursday, May 30, June 6   5:30 – 7 pm
