The #1 item that Knit and Crochet Tennessee gets requests for is hats.  Hats for warmth, baby hats and chemo hats —  all of these we knit and crochet for our friends in the Middle Tennessee area.

We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to helping newborns in need. In honor and in memory of our son, Strick, we’ve made it our mission to help families who are unable to afford items like clothing and blankets for their newborn children. We deliver new and gently-loved clothing and necessities to newborns in need at Nashville hospitals. This gift provides a little head start—and a lot of hope—to take home with their own bundle of joy.

S.A.C.K. (Supporting A Community with Kindness) is a concept, a movement…

Our vision is to inspire groups of volunteers around the country to crochet/knit, collect and donate bar soap to their local food pantries, homeless centers and transitional housing centers.

The soap sacks are made with cotton yarn, which allows them to be used as washcloths as well.

We are here to help where we are needed. We make mats out of plastic bags. We are always looking to expand with our knitters and crocheters. We are also always needing people to help cut bags.

“Knitted knockers” are an alternative for breast cancer survivors who have had mastectomies or lumpectomies with radiation.

Knitters crafting, promoting, and distributing handknit breast prosthetics in the Greater Nashville area of Tennessee.

Our mission is to celebrate the art and beauty of hand knitting and crocheting, building community, generating positive interest in a location, and sharing with others.

Chase the Chill is an annual graffiti/yarn bombing event that distributes handmade scarves in public places so that those in need—regardless of income and without any qualifiers—can help themselves.
